The Fluke 1587 T is the low-voltage member of the 1587 insulation multimeter family. It keeps the 1587's combination of a digital insulation tester and a true-RMS digital multimeter in one handheld tool, but its insulation test runs at 50 V (default) or 100 V with a measurement range of 0.01 MΩ to 100 MΩ, suited to low-voltage wiring and equipment where the higher test voltages of the standard 1587 are not wanted.

As on every 1587 model, live-circuit detection blocks an insulation test when more than 30 V is present, capacitive voltage is auto-discharged after the test, and the short-circuit test current is 1 mA nominal. The 1587 T does not include Fluke Connect wireless; see the 1587 FC for that.

Multimeter functions: AC/DC voltage to 1000 V (DC accuracy ±0.09% + 2 counts), DC millivolts, AC/DC milliamps, resistance, continuity, frequency, capacitance, diode test and temperature with a K-type thermocouple. CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V. Includes test leads, probes, alligator clips, K-type thermocouple, remote probe, holster and soft case.
