The Megger EVT100 is a versatile handheld multi-testing instrument with dedicated three-wire insulation resistance and four-wire Kelvin low resistance features for comprehensive industrial applications. More than 8 testing functions in a single unit bring effective continuity, bonding, and insulation resistance testing to the electric vehicle and photovoltaic industries, covering HEV, PHEV, BEV, and FCEV platforms, high-voltage connectors and cables, garages, and crash investigation work.

Insulation testing spans the standard 50 V to 1000 V ranges up to 200 gigohms, plus a variable range that lets the exact test voltage be selected from 10 V to 999 V with stabilized output. A guard terminal eliminates surface-leakage errors, and PI, DAR, timed, and temperature-compensated tests are supported. Continuity tests run 0.01 ohms to 1 megohm at 200 mA with lead-null and bi-directional current, and the DLRO four-wire Kelvin function measures 1 milliohm to 10 ohms at 200 mA with accuracy of 0.25% of reading.

A DC voltmeter measures 10 mV to 1000 V with polarity indication, a diode test covers 0.01 V to 3.00 V, and Type T, K, and J thermocouples provide temperature measurement with insulation-test compensation. Results for up to 256 tests store onboard with date and time stamps and download to a USB drive.

Live-circuit detection inhibits testing on energized circuits, with selectable lockout voltage and fuse-failure detection. The instrument meets UN ECE R100 for electric vehicle testing and is rated CAT III 600 V to 3000 m. The rubber over-molded case achieves IP54, and the tester ships in a multipurpose industrial carrycase with a full detachable lead set, SP5 remote probe, temperature probe, Kelvin clip leads, rechargeable batteries, and charger.
