MOM3 300 A Handheld Micro-Ohmmeter — Instrument with All Accessories, No Kelvin Cables.

The Megger MOM3 is a 300 A handheld micro-ohmmeter for measuring contact resistance on circuit-breaker contacts, busbar joints, switches, disconnectors, safety-ground connections, welding points, fuses, and cables. Rugged 1.15 kg rubber-bodied design with a built-in shoulder strap; handheld field operation in substations and industrial environments.

Two ultracapacitors deliver up to 300 A through loads ≤2 mΩ, with regulated current held constant for the full test duration. Auto-ranging from 0.1 µΩ to 3000 mΩ across 5 ranges; ±0.1 % of reading ±0.05 % of range. Ultra-short measurement time means no test-object heating — eliminates the bidirectional measurements other micro-ohmmeters require.

Selectable minimum-current guarantee from 5 A to 300 A; pass/fail thresholds settable from 0.1 µΩ to 3000 mΩ. On-board logger stores >2000 measurements in running-numbers mode with timestamps, current, and resistance. USB-C for charging and PC data transfer; optional Wi-Fi communication to the Megger EGIL 200 circuit-breaker analyzer (Wi-Fi variants available Q4 2025). IP54, –20 °C to +50 °C operation, complies with IEEE and IEC standards.

This BK-30091 configuration ships the MOM3 instrument with all standard accessories — soft carrying case (GD-90070), USB-C battery charger (HC-04290), USB-C cable (HG-00240), shoulder strap (50-11012), and ground cable (GA-00200) — but without Kelvin probe or clamp test cables. Add a Kelvin probe set (GA-90003, 2× 1.3 m), Kelvin clamp set (GA-90004, 1.3 m red + 3 m black), or individual cables (GA-00390/00391 probes, GA-00392/00393/00394 clamps) to match the application.

Available in pre-configured cable bundles or fully custom configurations via Megger's BK part-number scheme. The 4-position suffix encodes Wi-Fi (0/1), Kelvin cables (0=none, 1=probes, 2=clamps 3m, 3=clamps 5m, 4=probes+clamps 3m), accessory bundle (0/1), and lead style (8=alternative, 9=standard) — so any combination of options can be ordered if the pre-configured kit doesn't match exactly.
