ii500 Acoustic Imager

The Fluke ii500 Industrial Acoustic Imager makes invisible problems visible. An array of sensitive microphones listens across a 2 kHz to 52 kHz band and, using Fluke SoundSight technology, builds a color SoundMap that is overlaid directly on a live visual image. The result lets maintenance teams pinpoint compressed-air, gas, and vacuum leaks—as well as partial discharge and other acoustic anomalies—on a 7-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen, even in loud production environments where leaks are otherwise impossible to hear.

Built as a ready-to-use, entry point into acoustic imaging, the ii500 requires no specialized training and delivers accurate detection at shorter working distances (roughly 0.5 to more than 50 meters). Its LeakQ mode grades each find on a 1-to-10 size scale so crews can triage and prioritize repairs, turning what used to be a slow, manual walk-around with an ultrasonic wand into a fast, point-and-scan inspection.
