Same device-descriptor approach as AMS Device Manager and AMS Trex — supports HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus RTU/TCP, and Bluetooth devices. Snap-on Plus Module that extends the AMS Trex / Trex 2 Device Communicator with two unique field-communication powers: (1) ability to power loop segments — the Trex provides 24 VDC to wake up an unpowered or stranded transmitter for configuration, and (2) a built-in 4-20 mA ammeter — measure live loop current directly from the Trex without breaking the loop or pulling out a separate multimeter. Best for technicians who routinely commission new transmitters or troubleshoot 4-20 mA loop issues in the field.
