5900C Compact Radar Level Gauge
SKU: 5900C
Compact version of the Rosemount 5900S tank-gauging radar — ±1 mm accuracy (slightly looser than the 5900S's ±0.5 mm) in a smaller, lower-cost form factor. SIL 2 certified, custody-transfer capable. Used in smaller tank farms, distribution terminals, and inventory-management applications where the 5900S would be over-spec. Same Tankbus FOUNDATION Fieldbus output. Pairs with the Rosemount 2240S for full level + temperature tank-gauging.

Cost-optimized version of the Rosemount 5900S tank-gauging radar — ±1 mm or ±2 mm instrument accuracy (vs 5900S's ±0.5 mm Premium) in a simpler chassis. SIL 2 capable per IEC 61508 (no SIL 3 like the 5900S). Single-electronics only (no 2-in-1 redundancy). 10 GHz FMCW radar via 2-wire FOUNDATION Fieldbus Tankbus. Five antenna variants for different tank conditions: parabolic (1P), cone (1C, smaller-nozzle alternative to the 5900S horn), still-pipe array (1A), LPG/LNG (G1/G2, no G4), and 1/2-inch still-pipe (smallest pipe diameters). Custody transfer support limited (most variants are code 0 only). Pairs with the Rosemount 2240S for temperature; common in smaller tank farms and distribution terminals where the 5900S premium accuracy would be over-spec.

1208 Level + Flow Transmitter (80 GHz Basic)
Entry-level 80 GHz non-contacting radar for basic level and open-channel flow measurement. Compact NPT-mount transmitter, 4-20 mA HART output. Ideal for water/wastewater utility tanks, sump-pump level, basic process tanks where the 1408A would be over-spec. The lowest-cost Rosemount radar in the line.

1408A Level + Flow Transmitter (80 GHz)
Cost-effective 80 GHz non-contacting radar for basic level + flow applications in utilities, water-treatment, and general process. Compact form factor, 4-20 mA HART output, fixed-mount lens antenna. The entry-level 80 GHz Rosemount radar — when you need 80 GHz beam-angle advantage but don't need the 3408/5408 option flexibility.

1408H Hygienic Non-Contacting Radar Level (80 GHz)
Hygienic-process 80 GHz non-contacting radar level transmitter for Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Cosmetics. Tri-Clamp, DIN-A, and DIN-B sanitary process connections with polished SST wetted parts (3-A and EHEDG compliant). Compact form factor (drop-in retrofit for legacy hygienic level instruments). Same 80 GHz beam-angle advantage as the 3408 / 1408A for tanks with internals.

3408 Non-Contacting Radar Level Transmitter (80 GHz)
High-frequency 80 GHz FMCW non-contacting radar level transmitter — narrow beam angle (typically 4°) eliminates interference from tank internals (agitators, ladders, heating coils) that confuses lower-frequency radars. Same antenna / process-connection / material variety as the 5408 but with the 80 GHz beam-shape advantage for challenging tank geometries. Both liquid and solids applications, including granular materials and aggregates where lower-frequency 26 GHz struggles.
