Severe-service averaging-pitot primary element — engineered for severe-service and main-steam applications beyond the 485's envelope. Solid sensor design (no welded joints in the wetted path) provides failure-resistant operation in main-steam, high-pressure-pipeline, and aggressive-chemistry service up to ASME Class 2500. Available in 4 to 96-in. (100 to 2400 mm) line sizes. Wide material range — 316 SST, Alloy C-276, Alloy 800H (high-temperature main steam), and PVDF — for chemistry compatibility. Pairs with the 3051SMV / 4088 multivariable transmitters for compensated mass flow.

Severe-service annubar averaging pitot tube — same flow-sensing principle as the 485, engineered for extreme conditions: process temperatures to 1500°F (815°C), ANSI B16.5 2500# pressures, and aggressive media. Solid sensor construction (no welded joints in the wetted path) for failure-resistant operation in main-steam, hot-flue-gas, and high-pressure-pipeline service. Wide material range (316L, Hastelloy C-276, Alloy 800H) for chemistry compatibility. Used in power-station main-steam flow measurement and other applications beyond the 485's envelope.
