A new AWS hydraulic torque bench brings hydraulic torque wrenches and manual multipliers up to 10,000 ft·lb onto Valley's NIST-traceable calibration floor, five times our previous ceiling.
Valley Instrument Service has added a hydraulic torque calibration bench: an AWS 41015-HY test stand paired with an AWS-4050 analyzer. It extends our torque capabilities from hand tools to the high-capacity hydraulic wrenches and manual torque multipliers used across heavy industry. The bench is rated to 10,000 ft·lb (13,558 Nm) on a 1.5-inch drive, at ±0.5% of reading against NIST-traceable standards.
For our customers, that means the hydraulic wrenches behind flange make-up, wellhead assembly, refinery turnarounds, and wind-tower work can now be calibrated locally in Bakersfield instead of shipped out of the area. It's a natural extension of a torque bench that already handles click, dial, and digital wrenches and torque screwdrivers across the full hand-tool range.
Whether it's a torque screwdriver or a 10,000 ft·lb hydraulic wrench, it comes back to spec with traceable documentation. Contact us to schedule torque calibration or talk through your application.
