AMETEK JOFRA has launched touchscreen successors to its RTC and PTC dry-block calibrators: five RTCt reference models and five PTCt professional models, from $10,613 list.
The dry-block calibrators that anchor thousands of instrument shops just got their first full redesign in a decade. AMETEK JOFRA's new RTCt reference series (five models, spanning -100°C to 700°C) and PTCt professional series (five models, -90°C to 660°C) replace the long-running RTC and PTC platforms with a new digital architecture: touchscreen control, real-time graphical stability visualization, dual sensor-under-test channels, and Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity for remote monitoring.
The reference-grade RTCt line keeps the features that made the RTC the pharma and aerospace standard, including Dynamic Load Compensation, and adds work-order automation: load a calibration routine, and the unit steps through up to 20 temperatures with custom hold times, documenting as it goes. The flagship RTCt-159 reaches -100°C for ultra-cold work; the RTCt-700 covers 33°C to 700°C with triple-zone uniformity. The PTCt professional line brings the same touchscreen platform to everyday process calibration, starting at $10,613 list for the PTCt-350 base unit.
Critically for existing JOFRA owners: your inserts and most accessories carry over. Both new series maintain backward compatibility with existing RTC and PTC inserts, so upgrading the heat source does not mean repurchasing the tooling around it.
