Fluke has released firmware 1.21 for the 754 Documenting Process Calibrator. It restores pressure zero trim, sensor trim, and HART setup functions on Emerson Rosemount 3051 V7 transmitters. The update is free, and the 754 does not need recalibration afterward.
Newer Emerson Rosemount 3051 transmitters, the V7 revision that Emerson ships today, changed enough on the HART side that older Fluke 754 firmware lost some of its trim and configuration functions when connected to them. Firmware 1.21, released October 5, 2026, closes that gap. It is a free download from the 754 page on Fluke's software downloads site, and installing it does not require the calibrator to be recalibrated.
What the update restores
- Pressure zero trim on Rosemount 3051 transmitters at device revision 7.11 and above, including the 3051C.
- Sensor trim.
- HART communication and setup functions for the transmitter.
- Compatibility with newer 3051 revisions as they reach the field.
Why it matters
The 754 is a long-service instrument. Many of the units that come through our lab are ten or more years old and are still the primary commissioning tool on site. The transmitters around them keep getting replaced, and the 3051 V7 is what a new order gets now. This update keeps an existing 754 doing the whole job on a modern loop, instead of carrying a second HART communicator for trims.
What Valley can do
If your 754 is due for calibration, we will apply the update on the bench and verify it before the unit goes back to you. If you would rather do it yourself, call us and we will walk you through the install. And if you are specifying new 3051 transmitters, we sell and configure those as well, so the calibrator and the transmitter can come from the same order.
The update applies to the Fluke 754 only. The 753 does not include HART, so there is no equivalent release for it.
